While I appreciate the hard work of the engineers and programmers who made this amazing work possible, am I the only one concerned that this will replace jobs for those who need it? : Peter Lee
Human Exclusion zones and bar-codes simplify the problem enormously and, as the robots know where they are via the location of the last bar code read, their wheel encoders, knowledge of their turn radius and all that - all of which is the product of already-mature technologies - what is so amazing about this system? Now, if they worked alongside humans (as more recent advances in robotics technology now permit), this might be something. But what we see here is old technology with a new coat of paint. Yeah, it's orange and the bots have names. So does my car. It's called 'Honda', except that it's Opal Blue.Oh, and speeding up the video to make them look *faster* is ... well ... *you know what it is.* : Theophilus Stark

i would love to see someone smash all those fucking robots cause i believe there should be a law that robots like these should be banned because im pretty sure in the next few years everything will be replaced with robots leaving young to old people with no jobs : mafiahalo93
Cool. When Amazon Prime Air becomes legal, everything can be autonomous. From packing to shipping the robots can do. No humans required. I'd like to see that, and I'm sure we will. : Ankush Girotra
Wondering how those pods get filled with merchandise. : Joe S
That GLADOS vibe is getting more and more real everyday. Heck even the music sounds like this is in Aperture Laboratories. XD : meko xtwisparkle
No vacation days off, no overtime, no PTO, no sick days. These bots need to start a union. This is unfair! : Danny Le
Couple this with a more advanced Baxter bot and you've completely eliminated the need for people. : Leo P

Behold the "Human Exclusion Zone" and how robots are taking warehousing and shipping to a whole new level! It's very exciting and a bit scary at the same time, don't you think? : Stan Dubin
That's a tall ass warehouse for things that are only stacked 12' high... : a DIY Car Guy
I hope all your warehouses burn down from all your stupid fucking robots you piece of shit Jeff Bezos. How dare you take away humans for androids. It's people like you that are going to make humans uncivilized and start hunting your ass to be eaten. Go fuck yourself and I hope you choke on the wishbone from your Turkey. Have a nice Christmas FUCKFACE : OneBadAssDJ
From full time workers, to temps, now robots. Its all about greed. The robots work for free. So no need to hire temps anymore. Soon there will be no more jobs. Sounds like another great depression to me! : Amanda Partenheimer
Did you catch the screw up in the commentary? go to 2:54 and listen for 10 seconds, did you figure it out? Well "covering 12 miles of ground per day, operating per day 24 hours a day" that would be one slow ass robot if it only moved .5 mph.(24/12=.5) Just watching the video you can tell its moving way faster than .5 MPH,it seems more likely that they move at 12 MPH (miles per hour)not MPD (miles per day). Who screwed the pooch on the editing? : Charles Neighoff
The BettyBot series is the most reliable bot ever made. No BettyBot has ever made a mistake or distorted information. They are all by the impracticable definition of the words, fool proof and incapable of error. : Forrest Rosetti
I knew this was possible. Technology similar to this is already being used by Norway or some Scandinavian country to ship containers. I am sure using Robots; it is possible to manufacture a product from scratch to assembling it for the customer at the end is possible to do. It only leaves the humans to do only the design and prototyping of the product. : Faizel Mootheril
So now I should blame the robot for sending me the wrong kind of shoes I ordered last week. : Sharon Schmidt
Just wait until they form a union and go on strike! : Michael Davies
And they say Immigrants are taking our jobs.! : jerseyman9080
Now if they can just make robots that can clean the oceans. :( : nd dn
