• I asked around and it looks as although it's not encouraged, you can purchase the food at cost. Also I understand the cost is a little less than what you can get at other facilities. You can look up the locations of all the 'Bishops Storehouses" and perhaps talk to one that is close to you. I do know they give a LOT of food away and its always super high quality. : Joseph Ence

• As members of the LDS Church, we are counseled to have a one year supply of food, and where possible water and fuel. Certainly a 72 hour kit for local emergencies. The Church also sends out tons of food to places around the world that get hit with natural or man-made disasters. Tons go to the needy and poor in this country.
